Social Readjustment Test

Below is a list of life events that happen to all of us in our everyday lives. Determine which of the below events have happened to you in the past 12 months to discover what is causing your anxiety.

LESS THAN 150: You're not suffering from symptoms of accumulated stress.
There's a 30% chance of disease related anxiety.

BETWEEN 150 AND 299: You may suffer from symptoms of accumulated stress.
There's a 50% chance of disease related anxiety.

OVER 300: There is an increased risk of suffering from the symptoms of accumulated stress.
There's an 80% chance of disease related anxiety.


It is important to understand that this test counts the average anxiety for many people.  How stress will affect you is something that depends on your own awareness and understanding of your situation.
